* Malibu Pier
From the nightlife to breathtaking beaches, the city of angels has something to offer to all kinds of taste. And it couldn’t be different if you are looking for romantic things to do in LA with your soul mate.
I gathered here some of my favorites to get you inspired.
1 – TAKE A SAIL CLASS
This one is one of my favorites. For as little as $75 (at Groupon), you can spend 90-minute in an introductory sailing lesson for two. You usually share the boat with another couple, but it’s really fun - and romantic. Bonus: you can have the same luck as we had and see some dolphins and whales along the way. http://www.310sail.com/
2 – A NIGHT PICNIC AT GRIFFITH PARK OBSERVATORY
What more romantic than a picnic? What if you could also enjoy a breathtaking sunset and then lay down on the grass to watch the stars? And the best of all: it’s free!!! You can even come in earlier for a walk in the park and then get to know the museum, which is also really cool. If you are not on the mood to bring food, there is a café inside the observatory. http://griffithobservatory.org
3 – WATCH THE SUNSET AT THE SANTA MONICA PIER
If you haven’t watch the sunset from this place yet, you are missing one of the most enchanting moments of all times. Ok, I might be exaggerating a little, but it is really one of a kind. Enjoy an afternoon where you will feel like you are part of a movie and try your hand on the innumerous games around. Who knows your boyfriend/girlfriend gets lucky and gets you a stuffed toy! Then, get yourself a coffee and head to the end of the pier, where you can admire the nature spectacle while listening to some of the local musicians. http://santamonicapier.org
4 – TAKE A SCENIC DRIVE TO MALIBU
Rent a convertible car and drive through the beautiful Pacific Highland. There are various restaurants in the coast, but if it’s a hot day, you can enjoy the beach at the Malibu Beach and then have a lunch at the Malibu Pier Farm, a cozy restaurant/café that has a gorgeous view to the ocean. https://www.malibu-farm.com
5 – SPEND A DAY AT PARADISE COVE

This one combines tip number 4. Paradise Cove, like the name suggests, it is truly a piece of paradise and one of my refugees. It’s a perfect place to spend the day, where you can enjoy the delicious local restaurant (try the huge chocolate cake) and its chairs and lounges. The bonus? The water is not so cold compared to the other beaches.
6 – SPEND A DAY IN DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES
I love downtown Los Angeles. It’s like I just took a quick trip to New York (ok, sort of). Start your day with a lunch at the Grand Central Market. I love the burgers from Eggslut and Belcampo Meat Co. Next, you can head to the Bradbury building, which is right in front of the market. The place served as location for one of my favorite films, Blade Runner. I also love to walk through the Theater District at Broadway street, that runs from the 7th to the 4th street. After that, you must visit the Last Bookstore. It’s a charming bookstore, in a gorgeous location. End your day with a romantic dinner at the Ace Hotel.
